Charts are a key element of PowerPoint, they are fundamental for storytelling, especially for corporate accounts. Current Office JS API is very limited and access to charts, chart elements, and chart data should be a priority for upcoming upgrades. In our case, we have a VSTO/COM Add-in which can be a nightmare to upgrade for our customers as they are used to cloud solutions. Access to charts through the API will allow us to help them connect their charts with external data sources and easily update their slides without any manual work.
