Enable partial acceptance of meeting invitations (attend only part of a meeting)

In many real-world scenarios, attendees are only available for a portion of a scheduled meeting. Currently, Outlook only allows users to Accept, Tentatively accept, or Decline an entire meeting invitation. This limitation makes scheduling less flexible and often leads to misunderstandings or the need for manual communication outside the calendaring system.

I would like to request a new feature that allows participants to accept only part of a meeting, for example:

  • A 4-hour meeting is scheduled, but I can only attend the first 2 hours.
  • I want to confirm my partial attendance directly in the meeting response, without fully accepting or declining the entire event.

Suggested functionality:

  • Add a new response option: “Accept partially…”
  • Allow the attendee to specify the time window they can join.
  • The organizer should be able to see this partial attendance in the tracking list (e.g., “Attending 09:00–11:00”).
  • Teams/Outlook could optionally block that portion of the attendee's calendar automatically.
Why this is beneficial:
  • Supports more realistic scheduling in busy work environments
  • Reduces confusion between organizers and attendees
  • Avoids unnecessary decline messages when partial attendance is possible
  • Increases transparency about availability and participation

This feature would significantly improve meeting management, especially for long workshops, trainings, or large multi-hour sessions where full attendance is not always possible.

Thank you for considering this enhancement.
