    When custom add-ins are created for customers they will frequently ask for a ribbon that contains a combination of custom buttons as well as some of the built-in commands.


    Being able to include built-in commands alongside custom buttons means the user does not have to change tabs as frequently and therefore makes the user more productive because everything can be placed on the same tab.

     

    A built-in button that is often asked for in Word would be "QuickPartsInsertGallery"

    A built-in button that is often asked for in Excel would be "NameManager"
