RDP for Mac, Iphones Error 0x3000004 certificate revoked

Hi,

 

Today we have had multiple reports from clients that Apple devices are no longer connecting via Microsoft RDP apps. 

 

Error :

Unable to Connect. We couldn't connect to the remote PC because the certificate of the Remote Desktop Gateway has been revoked. Error Code : 0x3000004

    We recommend to review our troubleshooting section first. The other option you have is to open a support ticket through the Azure Portal.

    I am having the *opposite* of this problem. My macOS and iOS RDP clients are connecting to my companies remote desktop server through our gateway IN SPITE OF the certificate having expired on August 15. Windows clients seem to check the certificate and refuse to connect because the gateway cert is expired. Apple clients either are not checking or are failing open rather than failing secure.
