This appears to be fixed in the 2.x release of the client because we had zero issues with it this year.
Unfortunately it's not fixed. We didn't experience it last year, but I believe that was because we upgraded to the v2 client at the same time. This year we already had the latest client, and the error happened. the message has changed though. But exact same behaviour and fix
