Keeping Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 protected after EOS
Event details
Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 reached end of support on October 10, 2023. What now? Azure Arc enables you to extend the Azure control plane to on-premises servers, allowing you to take advantage of Extended Security Updates (ESUs) on a flexible monthly billing model with keyless activation. Let's talk about how how to Onboard Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 to Azure Arc and go over key features of this solution. We'll then demo a Windows Server 2012 R2 ESU deployment of ESUs, and answer common questions.
Speakers: Poornima Priyadarshini, Jason Leznek, and Aurnov Chattopadhyay

- AlexBarthCopper ContributorWith the deprecation of VBscript, are there plans to rebuild slmgr.vbs as an application or PowerShell script?

Microsoft
It would need to be - but we will verify with the licensing team that they are taking the deprecation into account.Hello Jason_Leznek I would be thrilled to connecting with you in this regard.
Speaking about slmgr I have raised the point of of vbs deprecation aswell, and brainstormed about the future. I actively promote ADBA and VAMT for customers licensing activation, which is crucial for Windows Server not being able to use AVMA (e.g. VMware) or Office LTSC versions. Or those customers using Windows Server CSP subscription which does not get KMS keys anymore, so ADBA is out of the game and we need to rely on MAK. Same with ESU.

in addition to that, when WS 2019 / 2022 will get out of support receiving ESU, then at the latest this issue I flagged long time ago could haunt us.

As VAMT was part of the demo, I hope that you'd appreciate and considering the feedback and like to connecting with me.
