We have a fair number of machines on Windows 10 and would like to gradually update them to Windows 11. Is there a setting in Intune that will allow the update to download only and not force install? I'm only seeing settings that will download and install.

Mar 21, 2024When you create an Intune "Windows 10 or later updates" Configuration Policy for a deployment ring, you can set your Deadline for Feature Updates. This gives your users space between getting the content for the update and when a restart will be required (in days) to apply it. If you are looking to stagger across your environment, you should be using a ring-based approach, to cascade out at different start times to different device populations. Check out Configure Update rings for Windows 10 and later policy in Intune | Microsoft Learn for details on how to set up deployment rings that have different start times to help stagger your deployments to get an eventual rollout completed in your environment.
