Event details
Hi andrew_munro. When a Windows 11 OS reaches EOL, it stops receiving Security Updates. In this case, as you correctly state, the EOL date of Windows 11, version 23H2 Pro was Nov. 11, 2025. Therefore, the last security updates expected on this version/edition of Windows 11 would have been on November 11, 2025. See Windows 11, version 23H2 reaching end of updates (Home, Pro) - Microsoft Lifecycle | Microsoft Learn for more info.
Did you have a different question or am I misreading your question?
My question relates to how information about this is presented to us in Intune:
I understand that Windows 11 23H2 went EOL for Home and Pro in November 2025, however Intune reports to us that our support End Date for this feature update is November 2026.

andrew_munro Ok, gotcha,. Thanks for pointing that out. The feature update for Windows 11, version 23H2 is still available for a number of reasons: for those devices where the logged on user is licensed for Enterprise as those devices can still up-SKU to Enterprise edition; for customers that still need to run Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2 and are willing to accept the EOL statement (IOW, we wouldn't pull the update out from under them).
But your feedback about the confusion is heard, and we've sent it directly to the proper PM.

The difference / conflict in end of support dates has been confusing - appreciate anything that clarifies that for us going forward, thank you!
