Get answers to your questions about managing the Windows devices used by remote, onsite, and hybrid workers across your organization, and keeping those devices up to date effectively!

Join us every third Thursday for Windows Office Hours, our continuing series of live Q&A for IT professionals here on Tech Community.

During office hours, we will have a broad group of product experts, servicing experts, and engineers representing Windows, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager), security, public sector, FastTrack, and more. They will be monitoring the Windows servicing space and standing by to provide guidance, discuss strategies and tactics, and, of course, answer any specific questions you may have.

Microsoft seems to have a habit of removing good simple tricks users can use. The latest is dragging to the Taskbar in Windwos 11, to move files around from program to program. It should be back. This has been in Windows for years. Should not be the case for a need of a standalone software to circumvent this annoying featur. The same there are issues in Office 365 with Find Related messages as there are missing brackets [] as described in here https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/outlook/find-related-messages/m-p/2977467/page/2. I am rolling back to Win10.

Hi, I am looking for clarification regarding Windows 10, 11 GPO ADMX policies. Does Windows 11 ADMX overwrite Windows 10 ADMX ? Can both Windows 10, Windows 11 ADMX policies run side by side in the SYSVOL ?

For Windows Update policies, the recommendation is to use the Windows 11 ADMX. You can otherwise manually review the reference spreadsheets and see if Windows 11 ADMX will cover what you need for Windows 10, version 21H2.

What about all policies overall, not just Windows Updates policies.
