In Windows 11 settings > System > Recovery I see the option “fix problems using Windows Update”, I’d like to try this on our domain-joined computers, but each Windows 11 23H2 and 24H2 machine I’ve checked has the “reinstall now” button greyed out with the message “this option is currently unavailable”. The https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix-issues-by-reinstalling-the-current-version-of-windows-497ac6da-7cac-4641-82a5-f50398d879a0 mentions that you can't use this option if you're using "if they are enrolled in Autopatch, leverage the deployment service," or have certain policies set. If we use WUfB, is that considered to be enrolled in Autopatch or leveraging the deployment service?
Yes, WUfB = Autopatch after unification last fall. The ability to fix problems using Windows Update is enabled for consumer devices, there is work going on investigating how to make this available for managed devices. Stay tuned as our engineers work on this.
