Following up on a question I submitted last month - just want to confirm that the supported/safe time to remove provisioned apps from a newly-imaged Windows machine is after OOBE. Am I correct that it is not supported / recommended to remove provisioned apps before that?

Microsoft
Yes, that is still our recommendation that this occur after OOBE.

EricMoe And it is supported to remove apps even if they're marked as "system", i.e. Game Bar?
- Jason_SandysApr 17, 2025
Microsoft
No, removing apps marked as System Components is not supported and may cause issues. I don't know if the Game Bar is actually a System Component though so may want to validate that (I don't have it on any of my devices to my knowledge).
