- TomReinhart0927Copper ContributorDoes AutoPatch support server OS?
- SoupAtMSFTFormer EmployeeOnly Windows 10/11 is supported at this time. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/windows-autopatch/deploy/windows-autopatch-register-devices#prerequisites-for-device-registration

Unfortunately, today Autopatch does not support Servers. If you would like to manage servers in the cloud, you can leverage Azure Update Manager https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/update-manager/overview?tabs=azure-vms or the Windows Update Group Policies.
- Ali11CHIron ContributorIs there an approx GA target date?
- Eric_ReichardCopper ContributorWe're still digesting how to adopt automatic patching controls like SI-2(5) in our org, and how it can be done without being in conflict with ITIL guidelines such as change management. I'm familiar with WUfB and deployment rings, but how does autopatch allow admins to stay on top of release notifications and rollback capabilities?
- txtechsquadCopper ContributorWhen will we get Windows Updates for the GCC license?
- AriaUpdated
Microsoft
Great question! We are actively evaluating work that would be required for supporting GCC. However, unfortunately, we have no news to share on such today.
- Christopher HolschuhCopper ContributorWhen will autopatch be available for Education skus ?

Currently you can leverage all of the offering controls leveraging the Graph API and all of the client policies (CSPs/GPOs) if you have A3/A5 license. As for the Autopatch UI in Intune, we have no news to share today with respect to EDU licenses. Stay tuned. 🙂

Welcome to Windows Autopatch: Simplifying the update management story and the second annual Microsoft Technical Takeoff for Windows + Intune! Have a question? Post here in the Comments so we can help. Let’s make this an active Q&A!
- AntonDobschenskyBrass ContributorI know adding additional channels to Office 365 updates was planned, what is the status of that? Semi-Annual would be very helpful.
- Andy D'HollanderBrass ContributorSame question here, had to exclude a bunch of devices last week from Autopatch due to the current requirement of Current Channel for Copilot. Would have expected that additional channel support before the launch of Copilot to avoid conflicting timelines.
- MBismeCopper ContributorCan we please get a comment on availability of AutoPatch for other subscriptions?

We have covered the licensing requirements in this recent blog post as part of our Microsoft Igniite announcements.
https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-it-pro-blog/what-s-new-in-windows-autopatch-microsoft-ignite-2023-edition/ba-p/3982944- MBismeCopper Contributor@Harjit Thank you for the reply but that only lists the F3 license. Is there a rough timeline for A3/E3 customers?
- KevinWheeler2024Brass ContributorWhen will AutoPatch come to GCC High? Thanks.
- Lior_Bela
Microsoft
Currently GCC High is not supported but we are reviewing the requirements to make Autopatch available for all our customers. Please follow our blogs for future updates
- Dave_NguyenCopper ContributorWill MSP's be able to manage multiple tenants from a central interface i.e. Lighthouse/CSP portal? Or is this a per-tenant solution?
- SoupAtMSFTFormer EmployeeWe have several partners who have indicated a desire for capabilities like this (multi-tenant). Presently, Autopatch is a per-tenant admin experience.
- Mounica_Battula
Microsoft
Currently we do not support Autopatch access through Lighthouse/CSP. Autopatch via Intune portal support only single tenant management.
