How is licensing affected when systems are licensed for Windows 10, and they get updated to Windows 11 , via Windows Update, free upgrade , or feature update ?

If I understand the question correctly there is no change on the licensing, if you had Windows 10 Pro, you are upgraded to Windows 11 Pro, if you had Windows 10 E3 you will be upgraded to Windows 11 E3 and so on
