- From a security features perspective, when upgrading to or implementing new Windows 11, it will be important to understand a few things. 1. Will the VBS features be enabled by default for the OOBE? 2. What will be the impact from a Microsoft support perspective if a customer wants/needs to disable the VBS features? 3. How will VBS impact AppAssure compatibility?
- Alan_MeeusVBS security and security by default is only turned on when reimaging a PC with Windows 11 or on a new PC that comes with Windows 11. Support agents will ask the questions to identify what is on the system. Compatibility should not be impacted. AppAssure engineers can always help if you have an issue.
- Why is Microsoft formulating such high, artificial requirements towards the CPU (Intel 8th AMD Ryzen or newer)? We see many complaints on the way.

- So that means you are cutting off all maschines oder than 2018, will have affect on companies who have updated their environment. This will not promote the acceptance to switch to Windows 11
- Do we know what version of WinPE will be compatible with Windows 11 for OSD? Will there be a new update to MDT/PE?
- Will we be able to deploy both Windows 10 , and Windows 11 from MDT side by side
- Greeting Laser235 and if the question is around being able to run Windows 10 and Windows 11 in parallel in the estate, the answer is yes. Just like you are probably running multiple versions of Win 10 feature updates today, we recommend you do that same thing with the Insiders using 11 so you can start early validation and testing in your estate.

- It took me a moment to figure out this wasn't a streamed video + AMA, and that it's only an AMA. 😉 A suggestion I would have, an ability to quickly show all posts so we can search if a question has already been posted. Also, on the same topic and a bit harder to do... but it would be helpful for us or moderators to add hashtag (or similar) topics to group questions together. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
- From a scheduling perspective, it would be an improvement to know which sessions will have live video and which will be chat forum only, but all formats to engage are valuable.
- I think there was a miss understanding of the type of event since there is a static video but now with the understanding it is more like a forum discussion i dont mind it. Thanks for the answers provided.
- Feedback heard: We definitely want to set clearer expectations on the planned experience for each session i.e. which sessions will have our experts on video, and which ones are just text-based AMAs. Thanks Chris, glad you're enjoying the discussion here.

- it was mentioned that organizations can run Windows 10 and Windows 11 side by side. I see that Microsoft will continue to support at least one Windows 10 Semi-Annual Channel until October 14, 2025. I also see that there is already a Windows 10 version 21H2 in the works. Will Windows 10 continue to use the nomenclature 2 digit year followed by 1 or 2nd half. If so what will the nomenclature for for Windows 11 be.
- AriaUpdatedOur current marketing nomenclature uses the year (e.x. 22) followed by the half of the hear that it was released in (H1 or H2). To this end we will have two releases in the Fall: Windows 11, 21H2 AND a Windows 10, 21H2. At this time we have no plans to change this nomenclature. We hope this answers your question. 🙂
- Whats the best place to find the difference in the registry for Win11? We usually go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion but the "CurrentVersion" and "DisplayVersion" are currently identical to Win10 20H2. Even the product Name in Windows 11 still says "Windows 10 Enterprise"! Thank you!
- From an OSD position will MDT be carried forward and updated for use with Windows 11?
