We're wrapping up the Microsoft Technical Takeoff with answering any final questions you might have about managing the Windows devices used by remote, onsite, and hybrid workers across your organization, and keeping those devices up to date effectively! Get tips on rolling out Windows 11 across your organization! Learn how to cloud attach your on-premises workloads!
We will have a broad group of product experts, servicing experts, and engineers representing Windows, Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager, security, public sector, FastTrack, and more. And, for your continued questions, join us every third Thursday for Windows Office Hours here on the Tech Community.

- Nolan_FCPSOccasional ReaderI need to delete all of the Personal Windows Devices from Intune. I am able to filter down to the devices I need, but there are thousands and it requires me to click on them one by one. Any tip to delete them all at once?

How about maintenance windows in Intune like we have in SCCM?

Additionally we have some software update scheduling options for macOS. It's not technically maintenance windows, but gives you more control over macOS software updates. Information here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/protect/software-updates-macos - ESJeffLBrass ContributorAria, thank you for that answer. The need for maintenance windows is to increase adoption and control deployments. We are a utility and we have 24x7 critical systems that need to be managed carefully so maint windows allows us to prevent installation and restart as needed, especially during storm events, when keeping the lights on is priority. Remember, Intune will be great if we can make it do what SCCM does:)

As Jason and Joe mentioned, it would be great to understand which scenarios and platforms you'd like to apply maintenance windows to. Software updates are common, but what others are important for your business?- ESJeffLBrass ContributorHow do you manager deployments (apps or patching) that when delivered to a group can perform and reboot as expected but small audience only wants the job to be published and not run, simply make it available. Currently with maint windows, one job can do that, I know we can do 2 separate jobs but that is not ideal when doing 2 or 3 deployments per week and different groups have different window requirements, I hope that helps understand the situation.
- LeonShapiroCopper ContributorKiosk mode configuration is Intune is very limited. This is especially true if you want to do auto-login with AAD credentials. We need this to use SSO for applications host either on prem or SaaS. We are passwordless environment so user can not just enter credentials. This is preventing us from fully moving to Intune. Are there any plans to enable more functionality for kiosk devices?
- Hung_Dang
Microsoft
Hi, Leon. If you're referring to Windows Autopilot self-deploying mode into kiosk, the reason we don't auto-login to Windows with a user AAD cred. The reason is security; i.e., it's highly risky to have a self-deploying device that logs into Windows with a user AAD account. (The device could be stolen, for instance.) The user account could be restricted as much as possible by the customer, but all it takes is one incorrectly-configured account to cause a bad situation for the customer.
- KPKingIron ContributorQuestion for Aria/David: Are there any plans to update the WUFB schema to include a separation for "Bytes from Peers" and "Bytes from Connected Cache"? Presently we're not sure how we'd report on the impact we see from DO peers vs DO Cache Host.
- KPKingIron Contributor
Sorry I should've said the Update Compliance schema: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/update/update-compliance-schema-wudostatus

[User profile with regional characters (like c:\users\NoëlCoward)] It gets created based on user's identity in Azure AD and hence it will be created with the whatever the name user has in Azure AD, this gives us a lot of problems with running apps (especially development) How to avoid this without being forced to have system locale other than EN?
- RyanDeyCopper ContributorNo question. I just wanted to thank you for a week of training that was infinitely more useful than Ignite.
- gijapon_anthony1982Copper Contributoris intune free? never been use it before.

In addition to Dave's response, here is a link showing which licenses include Intune: Licenses available for Microsoft Intune | Microsoft Learn.
- ZebulonSmithIron ContributorIs there a list of all of the aka.ms/TT/* links that were published throughout the week? Lots of good info there and it would be nice to have it all in one place.

I'll publish a full list of resources mentioned in this week's sessions on Monday! Just need to gather them all up!- RainerP250458Iron ContributorDear Heather, you have made an EXCELLENT JOB in organizing and managing and supporting this event ... BTW.: I am a "TechEd Allumni" since 1998 ... visited TechEd from 1998 on every 2 years in US ... later on MSFT renamed that event to "Ignite" ... And this event here (Technical TakeOff 2022) definitely was the best ever seen event and format ever :-) I refer to this: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/tech-community-live/microsoft-technical-takeoff-windows-and-microsoft-intune/ev-p/3632740

- DanielRatliffBrass ContributorMuch of the slowness and performance issues with targeting are due to Azure AD limitations (ESP in Autopilot, dynamic group limitations, etc). Besides filters, are there any plans to improving Intune's capabilities by moving away from AAD's limitations?
- Tony ChaCopper ContributorWhat things we have to pay attention for those "Share Machine"? e.g. A laptop use by the morning shift worker, and the evening shift worker use the same laptop.
