We are looking into adopting the Windows Package Manager to as many supported OSes as possible. At this time there are limitations in the Server 2019 that prevent the Windows Package Manager from running correctly, so it is not supported. We are exploring Windows Package Manager and MSIX app attach for user on future Windows Server versions. For Windows Server 2022, feel free to download the insider version of the Windows Package Manager and let us know your feedback: https://github.com/microsoft/winget-cli

Hello John,
here is a blog from an expert I regularly exchange on twitter doing AppV and MSIX as main business.

His passion was key for me to even "bother" with MSIX and/or winget on Windows Server. I really hope that the integration of MSIX in Windows 2022 can continue because it is an LTSC release with obvious restrictions.
Have you heard anything about Windows Server SAC? It seems it is completely gone.
- jvintzelJul 21, 2021Bronze ContributorI don't have anything to share on Windows Server SAC. Anything new should be listed here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server
