What are folks using for "thin clients" to access Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop? As it is, if you have to manage a full physical PC, might as well keep the workloads on the physical PC.
- Windows 10/11 Kiosk mode via Intune - otherwise known as Assigned Access. No reason to manage a separate Linux thing OS anymore 🙂
- We used to joke at my last job, just have to find a way to label a thing as an "appliance" and you no longer had to worry about it (update/secure/maintain it). Printers, phones, cameras, routers, switches, purple firewalls.... for whatever reason, they were not a checkbox during audits at that time.
- we are using full physical locked down to limited subset of remote desktop and productivity apps. Our philsophy is that we are reducing attack surfaces by keeping lob apps within the AVD estate - rather than on roaming clients which are more difficult to keep updated

Have you looked at whether the "Windows 365 Boot" configuration?
- No. My company doesn't seem interested in W365; only AVD.
- We are still searching for a "thin client" type device, but we have the same philosophy of locking down the physical hardware and keeping everything in the cloud VM.
- One org i supported used Dell Wyse TCs and my current org uses HP TCs
- Igel has strong support for AVD and W365 Cloud PCs.
