Good morning you guys,
I appreciate you guys' time in hosting this call. My questions are for Ola. I am a M365 administrator. Not on the same level as an MVP, but I have my hands on all aspects of a GCCH High tenant. My questions are:
1. What is your method for handling day to day operations?
2. What admin portals in M365 do you find most useful and why?
3. How to you keep up to date with all the Microsoft features that constantly come out?
Any directions would be appreciated! Thank you both again for this meeting!
Cordially,
Langston Keith

Hi! Glad you liked it and that you tuned in!
Let me divide these three questions and try to address them as good as I can 😊 (This might get long)
1: Day to day operations for me is about automating things and not having to do hands-on activities as far as possible. Assigning licenses, getting machines ready, updating apps, deploying updates; these things are great to investigate automating to minimize the effort for the day-to-day stuff. Also looking into reporting, which is key for operations! Having those things automated gives you time to keep up with incidents that might occur or improve the service!
2: Being a device/Windows 365 guy, I spend most of my time in Microsoft Intune, and that's where I usually manage Windows 365 as well. Like I mentioned in the talk, most cases for me are in the enterprise side of things. MS Intune provides access to user and group management outside the device management aspects, meaning that I rarely need to leave that portal.
3: The best way to keep up to date about what's released and what's coming is to look at the "What's new in Windows 365" and "What's new in Intune" from Microsoft (just search those phrases). Those will show you great stuff about what's new. Also, Twitter is a great source for keeping up to date. Myself and a lot of other MVPs share articles around what's new and what's coming, and also Microsoft PMs like Christiaan is great to follow!
- Langston_Keith160Nov 09, 2022Copper ContributorI truly appreciate your reply. Our industry changes at such a fast pace it can be hard to keep up, but I thank you for taking the time out of your day to post such an in-depth response. I've already found your blog and looking through it now! 👍💪
