What parity rate are Microsoft aiming for, both in terms of conversion of existing App-V apps to MSIX and production of brand new MSIX apps in comparison to current success rates with App-V? We've noted a delta and whilst MSIX is catching up, especially under Windows 11, will it catch up enough to give organisations sufficient time fully migrate off App-V by it's EOL date in 2026 thus avoiding reliance on 3rd party vendor packaging fallback solutions.

Most App-V 5.1 packages should automatically convert to MSIX. There will be some rework in the conversion when the App-V package is customized but that varies in a case to case basis. MSIX and PSF allow enterprises to increase the conversion rate and we continue to invest in tooling to make the process easier. The recent releases in MSIX Packaging tool - Package Analyzer, PSF-MPT Integration etc to name a few are efforts in this direction.
