Screen updates are causing me to lose my place when reading. Is there an adjustment for this ? The video was also disrupted numerous times when the screen chose to scroll.

Click the 'Page Refresh' link next to the drop-down menu and it will manually refresh the comments without interrupting the video. Also you can set your preferences to have comments automatically refresh every 60 seconds in that drop-down menu.
