Speaking of TPM, one problem with the mandatory TPM requirement is if the TPM is not available, then it means user need to purchase a new motherboard (a new device) and it would be very expensive for them. I believe it would be nice if we would have a USB based TPM , so user could purchase this TPM on USB and connected it to the device and login . It would be like we have our home's key on our pocket , we would have this special TPM on USB in our pocket. This would required special design. For example, for many devices we don't have a Camera to support Windows Hello Face Recognition, what we did was to purchase this Camera and connect it with USB, instead of purchasing a new PC just because we don't have the special camera.

You may want to check if your motherboard has the connectors for installing a TPM module instead, ie: https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/TPM-20-Module
- R_StarzuftJul 21, 2021Iron ContributorIn many cases the problem is not a place for the module but ability to obtain TPM modules. A number of them are out of stock with the big vendors. Some mother boards need a specific type of TPM (vertical board or chipset type) and the information is lacking there
