I would really like to have a free lab option as well. Hands-on learning is the best way for me ("kinetic learning"). This would go a long way to helping me support AVD and increasing adoption for my company. Like the old TechNet days.

Charlie Dobson and MrIT_Greg We also have the Windows 11 and Office 365 Deployment Lab Kit available to you to use. You can download that from our eval center here: Windows 11 and Office 365 Deployment Lab Kit | Microsoft Evaluation Center.

This kit comes with eval software that is timebombed to 90-days, and you still need the Azure subscription, which as TomHickling said can be a free version. Hopefully with the lab kit and the free Azure subscription you can get the hands-on you are asking for.
