Craig Loewen: Sorry if that question came off as aggressive but it's borne out of very real pain by a non-trivial number of people trying to use WSL. The problem, as is well documented in the linked GitHub issue, is not general WSL perf which is, in general, great. The problem is that even running proverbial 'Hello World' there are persistent situations where WSL consumes all available CPU and memory. As in: I have a i9 with 64Gb of memory that is 100% utilized by WSL such that it takes 10-20minutes to kill WSL to get back to sanity.
