Thanks to all who participated in today's AMA session! In addition to questions posted on this page, we also answer questions posted elsewhere in Tech Community, and in reply to this event streamed on LinkedIn and X (Twitter). Here are the questions we answered during the session, along with associated timestamps:

Question – What are some of the base requirements of Windows 365 Link – especially for folks who are new to Windows 365? - answered at 3:18.

Question from Tech Community -- Can you please share any specific scenarios for Windows 365 Link for Frontline workers? Any potential reference from a customer? - answered at 5:56. To learn more about the Krones customer success story, go to aka.ms/KronesAGLink

Question – Can you share a little more about Intune requirements? Is there anything else you need to do for physical devices? - answered at 7:51.

Question -- How many steps is the OOBE (out of the box experience)? How easy is it? - answered at 12:07.

Question from Tech Community -- I noticed when opening Settings on a Cloud PC running on the Windows 365 Link that I am getting banners in Sound, System and Sign in Options pages in Settings with a launch local Settings button which does nothing. In quick settings I see a Reset button which also does nothing. Ideas? - answered at 13:34.

Question from Tech Community -- Do we have the possibility to implement a zero-touch enrollment strategy at the customer site? If yes, how would that process work? - answered at 18:04.

Follow up question -- are we working towards supporting something that’s not user driven, along the lines of autopilot? - answered at 19:19.

Question -- Let’s say you’re brand new of getting Windows 365 Link, and you’ve never used Azure Virtual Desktop or Windows 365, is conditional access going to be an issue and what do you have to consider from a new customer lens? - answered at 20:34.

Question from X -- For MFA, does it have to be Microsoft Authenticator or will any authenticator app/solution work? - answered at 27:47.

Question from Tech Community -- During testing as part of a proof of concept for a customer, I performed a device wipe using Intune, and the system is now unable to boot. I need to reimage the Windows 365 Link. Are there ISO files available like for traditional desktops? - answered at 29:45. – For the first part of your question, please file a ticket by going to the Intune Admin center, under Windows 365, you’ll see a Windows 365 Link drop down and it will allow you to submit a ticket. In your ticket, please share more info on what build you’re on, when you did the remote wipe, what kind of remote wipe, etc.

Question from Tech Community -- Hi, what is the projected release date, and when will orders be accepted? - answered at 31:14.

Question on Tech Community-- On a local Windows 11 computer, the user has to approve the privacy for the mic and camera for Teams each time Teams updates on the Cloud PC. Sometimes this causes tickets if the user does not see the approval button. How does this work with Link? Will there be an improvement where the privacy approval is only required for Teams once? - answered at 33:09.

Question from Tech Community -- So Link only supports two displays? Will something like DisplayLink be baked in, since only four USB ports is often not enough and external docks are going to be rather common add-ons? - answered at 35:45.

Follow up question -- Which ports are available on the Link device today? - answered at 37:08.

Question -- You mentioned that you talk with customers in the public preview. Can you share any tips that might help us avoid common challenges and have an easier rollout? - answered at 39:14.

Question on X -- How configurable is the security timeout on the device? Will the user have to log on again, for example, if they walk across the room to refill their coffee? How fast is everything pulled back up after signing back in? - answered at 44:03.

Question from Tech Community -- Will this be compatible with AVD? We have both AVD and Win365 desktops. We need hardware that is compatible with both. - answered at 48:40. Please share your feedback at aka.ms/W365Feedback

Question from LinkedIn -- Going back to setup, is the model that IT has to set up/enroll each device then ship it out to end users? What's the setup time per device? - answered at 49:26.

Follow up question -- What’s the typical set up time for the device? 52:19.

Question -- If we have policies in place to prevent users from enrolling personal Windows devices, how do we ensure they can enroll this device? - answered at 53:19.

Last month Microsoft pushed an update to the Network SxS Stack software in our environment.  They released a version newer than what was listed on this site at the time for production or validation. What's new in the Azure Virtual Desktop SxS Network Stack? - Azure | Microsoft Learn.
The Network SxS Stack software is automatically updated from Microsoft and is not controllable by the customer.

It broke the network on all our Windows 365 VM's and AVD vm's if the device rebooted.  The outage lasted for about 2 weeks until Microsoft published the version number we were on 1.02409.29850.

How can we prevent getting beta versions of the Network stack SxS in our environment?  Is it possible to control which Windows 365 cloud pc's are on the production Network stack vs. validation one as well?

Hello! If this is where to leave questions to Ask about Windows 365, then here is one: at Any point, does Microsoft have Any plans to make "Windows 365 CPC(Cloud PC)" Avaliable for Consumers(Non-Commercial/Non-Enterprise)? Or are there no plans for that.

Actually, nevermind, this probably is Not Realted to that Upcoming Q&A.
