I can see the conversion of AVD in W365 in near future when we have multisession, non-persistent capability and consumption-based model added in W365. I think that's going to happen very soon as W365 is built on top AVD infrastructure .. what's your view ?
  • Don't be shy. This is a great forum to ask your questions about the latest features, but also to share information about use cases and scenarios you need to support. Post your questions now in the Comments.

With the new Windows 365 app in preview, is there a way to change RDP settings to get Fullscreen with only 1 monitor ? It defaults to "user all monitors" and can't seem to find the setting.

Hey msfanboy312 ! Thanks for the question.

The setting you are looking for is found in a Configuration Profile or GPO settings.

In the Intune Console you will find these settings:

And the supporting documentation is here:

      https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-365/enterprise/manage-rdp-device-redirections#rdp-device-redirection-settings

      Hope this helps!

What with new remote app? Will be possible to deploy it via intune? Now cannot do that. Next question, what with new remote app - multiple monitors (use only two instead all or one) and multiple accounts in the remote app?

      Jakub Piesik ,

Thank you for the questions! Let me see if I can address most of them.

Setting the number of monitors is supported GPO or CSP. Please see the example below:

      And the supporting documentation:

      https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-365/enterprise/manage-rdp-device-redirections#rdp-device-redirection-settings

The CSP value for your Configuration Profile is under Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Remote Session Environment.

The Remote Desktop Client does support adding multiple accounts by adding "Subscriptions" found under the ellipsis. Please see the documentation here:

      https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/users/connect-windows?tabs=subscribe#subscribe-to-a-workspace

I will have to track down the deployment of the RDC app.

      Hope this helps!

Sorry - this question was about new Windows 365 app. Not the Remote Desktop application. That is changing everything 😉
