Thank you everyone, for your participation in today's AMA! Here are the questions our panelists answered during the session:

Question – I’ve seen communications from Microsoft about preparing for new TURN relays, could you tell me more on what these are and what I need to do within my environment to prepare? – answered at 4:23.

Question from Tech Community – How does a Windows 365 Cloud App deployment compare to Azure Virtual Desktop? Why would I choose one over the other? – answered at 8:43.

Question – Earlier in the announcements for new Cloud PCs, we mentioned that there are certain redirections that are disabled by default—can you share more about which redirections are disabled by default, and specify where it’s happening (existing Cloud PCs, new Cloud PCs, etc.? – answered at 11:23.

Question – How can customers ensure redirections are enabled? What's the process for reverting redirections if needed? – answered at 12:29.

Question – In terms of peripherals for cloud PC connections, what types of peripherals do we support? – answered at 14:22.

Question – Is there any difference on the devices that we support, dependent on the solution—whether it’s the service or the device? – answered at 16:03.

Question from Tech Community – I'm in a position where we have a cloud PC user who is currently on maternity leave. Whilst she is away, we have a new starter covering her position. I'm wondering if there's a way to save the data that's on the mat leave user's CPC so we can free up the license for the new starter? Then be able to restore the saved data when the first user is back from mat leave? – answered at 18:00. Please share feedback aka.ms/W365Feedback

Question – I read about a new feature called multipath. Can you tell us more about this and when it should be used (or not used)? – answered at 22:01. To learn more, go to aka.ms/RDPMultipathPublicPreview

Question – Is there a limit to the number of Cloud Apps we can make available? With the way tiles look in the Windows App, feels like it could get crowded for the user? -- answered at 27:16. To share your feedback, go to aka.ms/W365Feedback

Question – Does the Windows App differentiate between things like old Outlook and new Outlook? Can we customize the display names of the apps? – answered at 29:10.

Question from Tech Community – Is the capability of moving a single Microsoft hosted CPC from one region to another available today? We have use cases where a user might move or is in a region where they experience latency and would be nice to move them individually. We have been deleting the CPC and having a new one spun up. – answered at 31:16.

Question from Tech Community – MS partner here: I am working with a very large W365 customer via RDP Multipath pilot. My understanding is Multipath is in private preview for W365 and public preview for AVD. Do you all have a timeline on when Multipath will move to public-> GA for W365? – answered at 35:02.

Question from Tech Community – Are the Windows 365 machines managed in Defender for Endpoint or Defender for Cloud? – answered at 36:17.

Question – When I compare the local Windows experience to a remote Windows experience via Windows 365, there are some discrepancies (Remote Audio, missing things from Quick Settings, etc.). How are these being addressed? – answered at 37:42.

Follow up question – In the June 2025 announcements, we had mentioned that for Windows 365 Link specifically, we did a like-local integration with ability to change monitor layout and resolution (portrait to landscape mode) within the settings app… how do you compare that to the audio & peripherals? – answered at 40:12.

Question – Will the default change on USB redirections disable my USB mice, keyboards, webcam, and microphones on my Cloud PC? – answered at 42:02.

Question – Do we have to use Microsoft identity solutions to secure identity for our W365 devices? – answered at 46:49.

    Regarding the Windows App
In a restricted environment with conditional access policies configured, some exclusions needs to be done in order to make the Windows App log in from a private device.
Is there a clear full documentation for the Windows App on how to set it up with Conditional access?
We found a documentation where it mentions that "Azure Virtual Desktop" and "Windows Cloud Login" resources need to be exempted but it still doesn't work. It appears that the resource "Windows 365 Client" needs also to be exempted (appearing in the logs when using a windows device) but it's not mentioned or documented anywhere.

What is the thought behind limiting the amount of total ANC's? It went from 10 to 50, which is nice. The current implementation to deactivate an inactive ANC is also great. I have a customer currently at nearly 50 ANCs and I'm not sure if extending the max is still possible through MSFT support.
I know that MHN is the recommend way :)

I'd love to go beyond the marketing of "Reserve" and understand the true value of this.  Is it going to be less costly to have a "Reserve" CPC license available than just re-deploying a new CloudPC for user who is down hard? :)
