I know it's not Windows but! Re the Teams Captions Public Preview:
Definitely better to be able to minimally customise the captions. But we now have 4 locations for managing STT/Captions/transcript components for users. Inconsistent, confusing and not usable.
1: More > Accessibility > Captions on/off toggle
2: More > Record and Transcribe (option to view Transcript has disappeared)
3: More > Language and Speech > Turn on/off Live captions
4: Captions box > Settings > Captions Styling menu
Additionally access to scrolling just a few recent captions, does not equate to access to scrolling the full transcript. An important function for deaf//HoH, APD and ND, notetakers, minutes managers etc. As to the last move of Accessibility from the top level More menu grr! Please make Accessibility menus top level, don't force people to click through layers to find help.
Q: My question is why can't Teams default to our Windows settings for captions styling, so that the Teams options can be a simple toggle off/on. (Should be on by default with option to toggle off).
