That is correct. You may have seen some posts about the MSfB retirement being "postponed", this only refers to the offline download functionality, for which the dev team is currently working on a replacement. For Hololens or Surface Hub, you will need to download the apps as offline packages and deploy them via Intune or other install technologies.

After we received notification that Q1 was up, we disabled the business apps store and attempted to support our existing customers with the new store, unfortunately, we got caught up in the chasing-a-tail situation for hololens users. For obvious reasons, we cannot go back to re-enable it as it's disabled with a change control process. we really need it working in Store(New), which was a decision from us based on earlier notifications., do we have any timeline that the new store would be fully functional!! what it does is force us to go to the vendor to package all the apps meant for Hololens 2 and added some financial implications for us., Hopefully, the solution would work for us very soon.

    Store app deployment in Intune leverages several Windows services not supported on Hololens OS. Therefore, you cannot use the WinGet API and Intune integration to deploy them. This is not something that can be addressed in the future. The best approach is to use Intune's single file installer (aka LOB app type) to deploy UWP apps to Hololens. Those apps can be acquired directly from vendors or downloaded from MSfB as an offline package.
