- SeMeDeIron ContributorIst there an ETA availabe for public preview or even GA of Microsoft Connected Cache (MCC) without the need of a Config Manager distribution point (a cloud only MCC)?.
- Andy_RivasMicrosoft
SeMeDe Microsoft Connected Cache (managed in Azure) has been in very early preview and we have not been onboarding new customers to the preview program.
If you’re still interested in participating in the private preview when it opens up, please refer to this Blog Post- https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-it-pro-blog/introducing-microsoft-connected-cache-microsoft-s-cloud-managed/ba-p/963898. There is a signup linked (Microsoft Connected Cache Inquiry (aka.ms)) in this blog post that you can use to register interest, if you haven’t already.
Thanks!
- Is there a dashboard planning that would give one the Delivery Optimization stats from clients in a Azure based view so we can see the efficiency of DO for each client and around the whole fleet? I suppose the data is already there as they can be viewed via PowerShell / Settings UI and logs. Also to see which is using DO, like Updates, drivers, Applications (winget, C2R etc)

Karl-WE thanks for the question! Are you familiar with Update Compliance for Delivery Optimization? It's a great starting point and I'd encourage you to check it out here, Delivery Optimization in Update Compliance (Windows 10) - Windows Deployment | Microsoft Docs. With that said, we are always looking to enhance our reporting. It'd be great to know if you has something specific in mind?
- @cmknow that's what I looked for. What I have in mind is to have the same dashboard for Windows Server 2016 or later, SQL Server etc in Azure or on-prem. Currently I believe they are completely seperated unlike to WSUS. SMB and SMC are looking for a web based cloud hosted solution that can address all needs from WSUS and make it a better and maintenance free iteration. Is that also perspective that is shared across the team? These customers do not have IT staff that would only care for Servers OR Windows Clients, some have 2 to 5 people in working in IT.
