Say, we have a customer with a very small internet connection using Azure AD Joined Intune managed devices and WUfB in place. Delivery optimization is on. However downloading initial updates shuts down the internet connection. What would be the best approach?

Oct 27, 2022By default, DO measures and targets to use no more than 45% of the available bandwidth during a background download or 90% for an interactive download (user initiated). The throttling will apply only to downloads from the “Internet” which include the HTTP source for the download as well as Group peers. Throttling will not apply to downloads from LAN peers. DO measures the download throughput that’s available all the way to the source (it doesn’t just consider the local NIC). There are policies to set different percentages than those defaults. However, if the connectivity is very slow in a site, it is best to set an absolute throttle. Please refer to this page for the complete list of policies:
