Event details
Viva Glint uses a unique single-item approach to quickly and accurately measure key facets of the employee experience. Traditional vendors use multi-item indices or dimensions with 3-7 items to assess a given topic, e.g., Empowerment, which results in long surveys up to 80 or even 100 items. In our research, we found that if you ask the right one question, you can capture the vast majority of the variance of a multi-item index in far less time. Here are some considerations for single-item measures:
- There is no loss in predictive power. Single-item measures are as good as multiple-item measures when it comes to utility and reliability.
- Shorter surveys save time and increase participation. Ease of completing improves response rate and response quality.
- Better comment quality. Due to less survey fatigue and visible post-survey action taking, employees leave more helpful, detailed feedback.
Shorter surveys lead to better action that foster improvements across the employee lifecycle. Viva Glint’s single-item measure approach makes it easy to have more frequent and focused touchpoints about what matters to employees regardless of where they are in their journey, from onboarding, to engagement and topical surveys like diversity, inclusion and belonging or manager effectiveness, on to exit. Viva Glint’s people-centric architecture puts people, not surveys, at the center of the data model. This means your survey programs are automatically connected, allowing you to spot trends and correlate experiences (i.e. how does sentiment at onboarding affects later engagement or likelihood to leave the organization. Viva Glint can be supplemented with short Viva Pulses as needed to democratize feedback to managers and project leads on localized topics. Please note that Viva Pulse is available as part of the Insight Experience Area bundle. As you can see, Viva Glint offers a scalable way to capture all your employee experience data in real time, on one platform across the entire lifecycle.
