Nov 15, 2022Hi Chuck!
Basically the taxonomy tagger allows you to use your SharePoint taxonomy (aka managed metadata) to extract metadata from documents. You might for instance have a list of all the office locations for your company defined in your taxonomy. You can then take that list and apply it to a document library and run the taxonomy tagger against the documents, each document will then get tagged with the appropriate office location(s). You don't have to build a model or anything else, it's one of the easiest ways to use what you already have in SharePoint to enrich your documents with more metadata! You'll see this landing in the first half of calendar year 2023, if all goes well!

Hi Ian! This sounds like a great feature - Any chance of seeing a demo? Also, DYK if that drop date (first half of CY '23) will be the same for gov? Thanks and Cheers!
