- amillerUFCopper ContributorHow is this different from Viva Goals?
- JaynaBrass ContributorViva Goals focuses on strategic goal setting and tracking, while Planner is more about day-to-day task management. Together, they provide a comprehensive solution for managing both high-level objectives and detailed tasks. Viva Goals is designed for goal setting and tracking using the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) framework. It helps organizations align their goals and track progress towards achieving them. Planner is a task management tool that helps teams organize and manage their work through plans, tasks, and assignments.

Will I be able to import my MS Project (desktop) projects to Planner?
- OwenJonesIron ContributorYou can already do this

Yes - you can do this!- Biatrice_Ambrosa

Our team continues to work on bringing more premium plan functionality in the Planner app, importing projects being one of them. In the meantime, you can import your desktop projects via Project for the Web (https://project.microsoft.com).
- WalecznyPCopper ContributorDo you plan to add to the task view information on how long a given task was performed, in minutes? It will be very usefull.
- JaynaBrass ContributorWe would like to see permissions control for a plan so that a limited number of users can delete and add tasks, not just open to the whole M365 group.
- ProductiveLaurenCopper ContributorWhat are your future plans to integrate Planner and To Do functions?

We expect this to be a gradual process, we started with My Day and My Tasks, bringing To Do tasks to Planner, etc. We know there's are still some gaps in functionality like reminders, etc... Which To Do capabilities are you most interested in seeing come to Planner?- ProductiveLaurenCopper ContributorI use To Do for "me" and Planner for "we". My To Do is made up of different lists and tasks with emails attached to them. I can't access those files in the Planner app and I can't access all the information in To Do that is in Planner. That means I have to be in two different programs to truly manage all my tasks. I see flagged emails as a sorting option in Planner, but I don't like using the flagged emails feature because it puts those emails at a high risk of being duplicated because you can't flag a "conversation" you can only flag an email. Will the profile feature allow us to include To Do lists in there and be able to add all the tasks assigned to me to be visible on my calendar, or a task calendar?

The capabilities of To Do are being merged into the new Planner. Are there certain features you are interested in?- andybryantIron ContributorThe fact that To Do is a clean & separate app Suggestions The different backdrops I can assign to each tab The ability to drag and drop tasks between private plans (although wish this included planner plans)
- StephenMcGillBrass ContributorQ - when will we be able to filter by date ranges ?
- Jens_Bech_MadsenBrass ContributorAs a people manager, how can I see all the tasks assigned to my staff members across all Planner plans
- ProductiveLaurenCopper ContributorWe would love to be able to add screen clips to comments or notes without needing to save it and attach it as a file.

Nice idea - do you mean 'paste into Task'?- ProductiveLaurenCopper ContributorYou can't copy a screenshot and paste it in comments or notes for communication. You can only use text as of right now.
- ProductiveLaurenCopper ContributorHave you removed the Https:// before the link space? I have never copied a URL without those already in it so it adds an extra step when I have to manually remove it when I paste it as an attachment to a task.
- David_HopkinsFormer EmployeeHi Lauren, you should be able to paste the link with the https:// included - Planner doesn't add anything extra to the link if it's already included. This is good feedback though that our UI doesn't make that clear, so thank you for the feedback!
- ProductiveLaurenCopper ContributorThis will save me so much time! Is this the case in Planner in Teams? If you are ever looking for feedback about the UI, please reach out. We work with many Microsoft users at different organizations and can provide in depth feedback on habits of the average user. 🦝
- alisondCAREBrass ContributorOMG YES PLEASE do this !!!!!
- AYamadaCopper ContributorHow much will copilot be able to see the resourcing/availability across each user across ALL PLANNER/PROJECTS vs EACH project?
- HowardCrow
Microsoft
Great question - the answer is a bit 'complex' as AI is a bit complex. In general, Copilot does have access to data across plans. We have not yet enabled the ability to ask questions across the whole corpus - but we are looking to enable scenarios for this and make sure that the answers have accurate and quality responses. It would be great to hear what 'questions' and scenarios you are interested in?
