- StephenMcGillBrass Contributorhey Planner team - how about contacting some customers on here to show you how WE use Planner to run our teams / businesses. I'd happily show you what we do and all the automations we've built around it. give me a shout.
- Brian-SmithBronze ContributorWonderful idea Stephen!
- AdamBarkerCopper ContributorI would second this. Some of the features I see look nice, but don't address existing needs with the existing features.
- rimetreeBrass ContributorWill Loop components allow updates to premium plan tasks from any app supporting Loop components?

Microsoft
New functionality is coming out that will allow you to convert your basic plan into premium plans. 1. For (basic) plans that were added to Loop, these plans will no longer render in Loop and the user will need to open the premium plan in Planner. 2. For task lists components, convert them to premium plans is not yet supported.
- AndiagoSupremoCopper ContributorWill Planner track how long a task was in each bucket so we can identify flow issues?
- Brian-SmithBronze ContributorI've heard that request before Andiago, can you share the scenario where this adds value for you? I'm sure the team would like to understand more. Gives us via the feedback option in Planner too.
- MarisaM820Copper ContributorExcited to see that current plans migrated automatically from Microsoft Project into Planner for Teams. However, none of the assigned tasks are showing up in the "My Tasks" list. Is this a feature coming later or a gap we need to investigate now?
- Brian-SmithBronze ContributorAssuming by Microsoft Project you mean project.microsoft.com projects, you should see the tasks Marisa - this is rolled out now. Open a support case if you aren't seeing your tasks. We don't pick up assigned tasks from other versions of Proejct, like Project Online for example.
- PeterWielingaCopper ContributorI am hesitant to use co-pilot because of confidential information. Is is safe to ask confidential info to Co-pilot in planner?

Microsoft has a strict Security Future Initiative (SFI), Responsible AI, data governance and compliance https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/purview For risk, compliance, and legal teams or government cloud environments, Planner interoperates with Purview, a Microsoft all-up feature for AI compliance. Purview offers these features: Information protection Data loss prevention Data lifecycle management Data connectors Insider risk management eDiscovery Audit Records management Communication compliance, and Compliance manager - sslayerBrass ContributorOn our GCC license, we don't even have access to Copilot yet so the insistence that we rely on Copilot is really frustrating.
- Kroberts300Copper ContributorI wouldn't put any information into co-pilot that you do not want Microsoft to own.
- markomcpartlandCopper ContributorWhen will 'Filter by keyword' available at top of Plans in the Planner app in Teams, also be available in Plans added to a Teams channel?
- Dan4337Copper ContributorIn other announcements task permissions ie who can edit, delete, etc. That was not mentioned today. Still on the roadmap?
- What is the best way to on-board/up-skill those old school MS Project managers? Does MS Learn have any transitional training for those users?

Dear Microsoft Planner Team,
for the first time, I am posting in the Tech Community due to several issues our employees are facing with Microsoft Planner. These issues have become significant enough that some are considering leaving the platform, even though we are already using the Planner Plan 1 license.
While we truly appreciate the recent focus on Planner and the progress made, there are several key features that we believe need attention to further enhance the user experience and prevent users from wanting to switch.
I would greatly appreciate your insights on the following:
Task and Plan Recovery: It is currently not possible to recover a task or plan that was accidentally deleted. Since our tasks contain critical information, is there a plan to introduce a recovery option?
Assigning Checklist Items: When will it be possible to assign individual checklist items to specific users?
Granular Search: It would be very useful to have a search feature within the plan that not only searches task names but also their content.
Task History: With the Plan 3 license, we have access to the task history. Will this feature be added to Plan 1 or free licenses in the future? Why is this standard feature only available with a $30/month license?
Better Teams-Chat Integration: When trying to start a conversation within a Premium Plan task in the Planner Teams app, users are redirected to the Teams Channel Planner tab, where the task is reopened. However, they then need to click the "Task Conversation" button again to finally open the conversation. Can this conversation window be more seamlessly integrated into the Planner Teams app? It is confusing for our users, as they do not want to constantly switch between the Teams Channel Planner tab and the new Teams Planner app.
@Mentioning in Basic Plans: In the Premium plans, @mentioning is a valuable feature. However, in Basic plans, the comment functionality feels incomplete without this. Additionally, the current notification system is problematic—only users who have previously commented receive future notifications. This makes it difficult for the entire team to stay informed. Is there an ETA for bringing @mentioning to Basic plans?
Storage Location of Uploaded Files: Is there a more organized solution for files uploaded to tasks in Planner so they don't land in the root directory of the SharePoint library, but rather in a "Planner Files" folder or something more granular? This would greatly improve file management.
Planner Web App: When will the new Planner app be available as a web version?
We want to continue using Microsoft Planner, but these features are essential for making the platform viable for us in the long term.
I would really appreciate it if you could address these topics briefly.
Thank you!
Markus

Thank you! Just saw it also!
- amandaernstCopper ContributorI could see myself using Copilot to report my year-end results... i.e. how many tasks I achieved over the last year, how many milestones, completed projects, etc.
