If I subscrible to premium plan and create gantt chart and other related premium features, can I share the gantt chart or other content created under premium plan to colleagues or external users who doesn't have premium subscription?

Yes, Alan you can!- Alan_Lee_888Apr 04, 2024Copper ContributorThanks Laura. To clarify further, my colleagues and external users can edit and collaborate in my premium content (ie. gantt charts) that I create without all of them subscribing to a premium subscription? Thanks in advance for the clarification and I just want to make sure that premium subscription is needed for the project managers only who create the Gantt chart, but not the users, collobrator or contributors who access or edit gantt chart. It would be way too expensive if all people who see, touch, or edit gantt chart need a premium license.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Alan, it's actually not possible for users without premium licenses to access premium functionality :( These users can access the same capabilities they have in basic plans, for example updating a task's title, start date, or priority. You can see the full set of capabilities offered by each license in our service description: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/servicedescriptions/project-online-service-description/project-web-service-description. Please feel free to reply back if you have additional questions!

Thanks for this feedback Ryan - could you share more on how you would wish to use versioning in your day to day task management?
- -_RH_-Apr 04, 2024Iron ContributorThank you, Nancy! Yes: since the implementation of a Recycle Bin has not yet begun, it would make sense (and be an improvement over competing solutions) to have versioning for Tasks in Planner. A Recycle Bin only allows going back to the most recent update of a deleted task; it cannot revert to a previous point in time in a current task or for a deleted task. For very simple tasks, this isn't that important, but a common scenario is where multiple people work on a task with many sub-tasks and components. In short, a Recycle Bin is only a recovery mechanism for accidentally or intentionally deleted tasks. It is not a recovery mechanism for when mistakes are inevitably made for tasks that are still in use, to try to determine what happened in task that has received multiple updates, to go back or do the same thing for a point in time for deleted tasks, etc. Does that help?
