We are really struggling with managers assigning their team members tasks, and then then if the manager goes into the task - they want to mention the team member and they can't. The comment they put in there just comes back to themself via email vs going to the person the task is assigned to. What is the solve for this? Is @mention a feature that's coming soon?

Hi Crystal, the ability to @mention someone in the comments is a feature we're tracking our backlog. If you'd like to, you can also upvote the feature here: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/56452e81-90a3-ed11-a81b-002248519701

Andrew - what is the proposed workaround to get a comment from a manager back to the person the task is assigned to then? It can't be to send them an email or a teams message outside of the task.
