I would kindly ask, what is the current status of the Task Enterprise Custom Fields feature?

I'm wondering if the feature is currently on Microsoft's development roadmap. 

It would be extremely useful in both default and production environments

(The task level enterprise custom fields have been very useful in the Project Online environment. It helps with the unified experience and task level power bi reporting etc)
