- Same issues here. Some clients do upgrade via the toggle option and allow the "Register the New Teams as the chat app for M365...." checkbox to be ticked but some do not. Would really appreciate some insight into this one.

I switched to new teams and using it for almost a week now. Here are my thoughts:
- After switching to new teams I do not saw much ram improvements(and there was a lot of ram usage spikes) and whole expirience fell more sluggish than old teams. After a week it looks like it has stabilised and looks better
- When screen scharing have troubble with ribbon. There is now way to move it or permamently disappear and i culdn;t open a browser tab that was in middle of screem because screen sharing ribbon appears imidately.
- I do not see anything with copilot and its improvements
Issues:
-New teams do not have all recent call history at switching. I had a half year gap between my call history in new teams. After swithcing back to old teams and going again to new teams it downloaded it and now is available.
- When opening old teams(i have it on taskbar) everytime it ask if i still wan to use new teams and there is no option to "remember my choice" or something
Hi, Q1: Today, with new client, we do not have option to set default file opening preferences to Desktop app. Only Browser or TEams is the option. What is the plan to roll out Desktop app option for that?
Q2: Some features are not working in Classic Teams anymore, is that a bug or Microsoft is going to push all users to switch to new Teams by certain deadlines?
Q3: Q&A is not visible after meeting with the new client. In Classic client, we were able to go back to meet chat and see Q&A tab.
Q4: Auto start on login does not work with new Teams client. Does Microsoft know about this or have plan to resolve this?
- A lot of the communication around the release of the new Teams included reference to "making it easier to collaborate with users external to your organization". I am in the new Teams and everything thing seems to be the same for me when I'm communicating with people outside my organization and when they are communicating with me. What are the actual changes and impact of those changes related to collaborating/communicating with people outside of my organization??

- There's not anything to record. Above it says: "The AMA will take place on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. PT in the comment section below."
- Teams Voice: We have enabled the preview features like editing business hours, reporting etc for some of our Auto Attendants and Call Queues and assigned the Voice Application Policy to our Authorized users. They are also added as Authorized user to the respective AAs and CQs. We can't see any of the new voice AA/CQ related preview features neither in the classic or the new Teams client. The documentation mentiones that "Features are currently available to preview customers only". I am an Authorized user, I have enabled Public Preview in the Teams client, but I don't see any of these new features. - A couple Preview channel users began seeing the toggle for the New Teams yesterday. We both selected it and the New Teams installed. Today, after reboot, we both no longer see the New Teams on our desktop and have to download it again.
- Will Teams live event be supported in New Teams? I have found issues with TLE on new teams. Given we still have a year with TLE, how does that go side-by-side with Townhall support on New Teams.
I have 5 issues with the New Teams client:
1. What Todd posted below about the Policy Configurations.
2. Screen sharing button is gone - I am using horizon VDI with public preview turned on
3. In the Settings ] General ] System, there are 4 checkboxes. We cannot toggle the first (Auto-start Teams) and 4th (Register the new Teams as the chat app for Microsoft 365) - it will not allow you to turn it on.
4. The status does not automatically switch to away. it always shows you available.
5. Joining a Teams meeting starts the Classic teams client instead of opening in the new Teams.
My understanding is that Horizon Agent 2103 is supported per the Microsoft article.
