Hi John,
I'm working for a municipality that would love this feature for their live events. We're presently trying to figure something out with OBS, but this would be soo much easier for my team. I know this is coming soon to Teams meetings, but is there an ETA for live events yet? We're in Canada if that changes anything.

Hi Ryley, this is something that we plan on supporting. No ETA yet.- Also, Chris, thanks for taking the lead on this feature. I see most of the content appears to be authored by you, so I just wanted to personally thank you for pushing for this feature with your team 🙂
- Thanks Chris, I'm excited to try this feature. Can you please push management for an ETA? That would be really helpful. I have 3 customers currently investigating OTHER platforms that allow for pinning presenters during webinars because this is not ready yet. I can't convince them to wait for MS if there's no ETA. Are we talking about this rolling out to live events in Q1/Q2 2023, shortly after this is released for regular meetings, or would this be estimated to be on a longer timeframe?
- Here are my questions: Is there a video on how to use this new feature? Does this new feature allow for a LIVE MS Teams Event, with ASL and QSL pinned frames, along with multiple presenters and presentation materials? How many frames are feasible? Are Closed Captioning and Transcription available in English and in French? Is there a way to get transcriptions without time stamping? Thank you!

Hi Diane,
1. We have an announcement video and a support article video2. No Live Event support at the time. This is a top priority for us. No ETA.
3. The Live Captions support page has details on which languages are supported. English and French are supported.
4. Currently, no, but this is something that we can add to our backlog. Would you want something that is formatted similarly to the transcript view?- Thank you Chris. Re 4. I'm guessing so. Need a clean transcript without time stamp.
