Using Poly Trio 8800 devices...when connecting them via the Teams sip gateway, they lose the "calendaring/one-touch join" capability that they had via the SfB connection...is this by design?

Yes, SIP Gateway does not support calendar integration / one-touch meeting join yet.

    I see the mention of "yet". is that coming? We have that currently with SFB 3PIP that even worked to Teams meetings. Would love to see this feature come to SIP Gateway

      I'm glad to see the "yet" as well! We would also love to see this feature in Teams SIP gateway...any rough ETA/timeline by chance?

      We don't have it on our roadmap, yet. We'll take a closer look based on demand for this feature. Fact of the matter is, that there is a nice workaround for it. You can always do a "Request to Join" for the meeting room phone.
