When using the Expedite Windows quality updates policy, we have many clients reporting "Expedite client missing". I realize we can install this manually (or with the msi package deployed via Intune as a LOB app), but is there any reason why Intune doesn't just deploy this automatically when an Expedite policy is assigned to devices?

That alert can either mean the update hasn't been deployed and installed, or it can also mean that it installed, but a pre-requisite wasn't met that blocked the device from successfully registering for expedited updates. We are working on clarifying the alerts and messaging. And we have some great troubleshooting guidance on the Windows IT Pro Blog that should really help you pinpoint the exact reason.
