Will the new reports in Endpoint Manager -> Reports be enabled to directly drill down into single devices. For example, you look for Not Compliant Devices find x devices with errors and can directly click on them and have a look.

Thanks for your explanations so far. I specially meant the reports "Device Compliance" and "Device Configuration (preview)" which can be found in MEM under Reports. The show the "new layout" in which you first click generate and then have a view with the page selection 1 to x. You click the entry meant above click reports tab and click "Generate". Then you see devices down there but you can't click on them. You could export them and then open the devices one by one in a second step. But it would be cool to directly click on the devices in the report itself.

Heather - Didnt Zach previously own WAUR and Desktop Analytics? Is he not an expert on AutoPatch?

Any plans to include the settings under "Endpoint security" in a Policy Set?

What is the best way to monitor the Microsoft Intune Management Extension Services status ? We are finding machines where this does not exists or it does but the service is not running. We have looked at Proactive remediations but it seems this relies on this service to run and report back. We a re looking for the best way where we can be alerted where this service does not exists or is not running. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    1. Will there be more detailed technical digital employee experience monitoring tools made available (instead of Viva etc which is more wellbeing focused).

    Such as:

Nexthink with relational service based data, pulling data together from IME and Azure Monitor for defined server services or Cloud PaaS / SaaS.

ThousandEyes and the ability to investigate network performance such as dropped/nonreturned connections or where hops are failing from the endpoints local network stack.

    2. What other improvements are there coming for the Endpoint Analytics, the BSOD information in the devices OS restart history is a good start. However simple things like the driver manufacturer/name/version that caused or was involved with the hang/stop are missing to make it truly valuable. Was it realtek, NT kernal or hidsys etc.

This is a question geared to ensuring devices are added to the right groups when received out of the box.

Let's say I have a dynamic group named "Art Center" and for devices to be added into, the hostname must start with "ART-".

So now if I were to order 100 devices from <insert tech company> who has already uploaded device hashes, how would I ensure, 20 devices go into the "Art Center" group? Could there be an easier way to assign deployment profiles to select device serial numbers, than to an already created device group such as, "Art Center"?

Perhaps I'm missing an important step, can't wait to hear from your team!

  • We're looking forward to talking with you on April 27th! Have a question for our panel? Post them - early and/or often - here in the Comments!
