When will GP Preferences be accommodated natively in Intune policy please? Drive Mappings, Registry Files, Printers etc.

For many GPP scenarios we are looking to modern equivalents. For Drive mapping and registry keys, my advice is to use ADMX import. As mentioned in the video, not all reg keys are available for configuration to reduce the security risk of these policies. For printing, we've recently released our settings for universal print. I'm not an expert in printing so let us know if there is more you're looking for.- HeyHey16KNov 01, 2022Iron ContributorThank you Mike Danoski. Which ADMX template do we need to import for the Preferences please? We imported all the (what we thought anyway) obvious ADMX templates but couldn't find the settings?

We have already globally ingested all the settings that are built into Windows that can be configured via MDM. Which ADMX files did you upload?
- Paul_WoodwardOct 25, 2022Iron ContributorPlease please give us preferences. I want to deliver good defaults to my users, without locking them down. Power/sleep/lock screen image/blue light reduction/default zoom level, focus assist settings - all these are super hard at the moment.

Thank you Paul, this is particularly useful feedback.- Paul_WoodwardOct 27, 2022Iron Contributor(1) our laptops default to 150% Zoom level. (2) we use docking stations. When user docks laptop, with the lid open, it does screen mirror by default, so expensive monitor is running at laptop screen res, and scaled to 150% (3) if user closes lid while laptop is docked, laptop goes to sleep (4) because it is in screen mirror mode, this also triggers Focus Assist, so users don't see Toast notifications. the user can fix all this by changing the mode to Extend, changing advanced power/sleep settings, etc. Most of our staff are non-technical, so they don't do this. But even if they do, when they dock to another desk, it goes back to "Duplicate my displays" again. The default behaviour is just horrible. As an admin I'm not allowed to change Focus Assist settings or Zoom level or additional display settings through policy, and it's very hard to understand the registry settings that control this stuff.
