We use GPO's quite a bit and the GPO analysis tool totally ignores all registry and scripts. It does not even acknowledge them. we have over 700 reg settings and no way to find if there are settings catalog replacements or others. Why is there no tool currently to help or at least say they cannot import in the analysis tool. Are you planning to create one. I was able to parse the xml export and ran it through AI and got a fair amount or replacements but you don't even have a good source of the complete settings catalog and explained settings. It is very frustrating. In addition there is no way to pull out baseline settings as you import other things. Any plans for migration tools that would help?
Registry is still a huge annoyance today. Custom PowerShell Detection/Remediation scripts must be created for any entry/key that is not in Settings Catalog, Administrative Templates, or a Custom OMA-URI, and this includes many of Microsoft's own settings that they have omitted from these policy categories. I understand the Intune team not bringing the entirety of GPP to the cloud as there are various legacy bits there, but as Windows is fundamentally tied to and managed by the Registry, Intune absolutely needs native CRUD-style Registry management capabilities to be a proper and complete device management solution.
