Due to relaxations made on the new MS Store (no longer requiring vendors to upload an MSIX version but also accepting MSI / Setup, etc), will Microsoft seek to redress this by repackaging any apps due to be hosted within the Enterprise Application Management respository into MSIX format where possible regardless of the source vendor format?

 

That would also open up benefits in allowing delivery of those apps to AVD via AppAttach without a requirement for admins to convert.

CraigDK Thanks for the question and feedback, Craig. We have no plans at this time to repackage catalog apps into MSIX. The catalog will have Win32 (.exe, .msi...) apps that are prepackaged so that you do not need to go through the intunewin converter to deploy them. And these apps will be kept up-to-date. Danny shows both of these in the session.

 

I've taken the feedback, though, on the benefit of also converting to an AVD/AppAttach deployment.
