What benefit does the Enterprise Application Management list of apps provide above and beyond the list of apps available from the Microsoft store? The selling point of the existing Intune integration with the store is those apps should already be suppported and kept up to date if leveraged?
This appears to be therefore creating internal competition with the new MS Store and could additionally result in less customer demand in asking vendors to host their apps in the store.

Nov 24, 2023While I am generally totally with you in that all the apps that could come to the store should come to the store, there will always be exceptions to the rule.
I see at least the following:
1. Some apps might never come to the store for various reasons.
2. The app installer is hosted (after you add it) in your Intune instance -> it will work on the machines that (for whichever reason, and there are many) cannot access store.
3. I have no control over app versioning with the store, here I do, if I need it (or I am using CI/CD with TestBase etc).
Hope this helps.
