    Hi there,

Currently, Intune does not support "Remote lock" feature for Windows devices. Just wondering, if Microsoft (Intune Team) is working on or considering implementing it in future updates.
    Thanks.

Hi there! This question was answered in the AMA: Cloud native with Microsoft Intune Technical Takeoff session at around 5:09

Joe_Lurie also replied to this question in the AMA comments, with the following response:

We do not have plans today to implement Remote Lock on Windows devices, but it's feedback that we've heard. Please go to https://aka.ms/IntuneFeedback and upvote (👍) the feedback. Here is a direct link to that feedback.

    • Remote lock perse is not supported on Windows devices at the moment, and is not high on our backlog. That said i'd like to understand your scenario better, mind sending me an email with details?

What are the per device and per organisation check-in limits? And where do we find out what they are?

    • As part of predictability and transparency our goal is to be more open about service limits (like for example Questions with policies and profiles in Microsoft Intune | Microsoft Learn). What I can say at the moment is, those limits are in general very generous and primarily geared towards preventing abuse. We are working towards a model where you can factor in those limits to build your own operating procedures and SLAs. We aren't just there yet, but is something we are actively working on.

  • Thank you for very informative session! More transparency about Intune policy processing would be very useful!

When we going to get device current online status info? would be nice to see if a device is online in semi real time

I can't answer a when question, but I can certainly say there are cool scenarios that are only possible once we know more about when devices come online, their online-offline patterns, etc. Those are all areas i care about :)

I have a question: are there structural differences in how an msi vs an intunewin package is deployed to windows 10+ endpoints?

    • Apps packaged as intunewin files are delivered to devices via the Intune Manage Extension, while apps packaged as .msi are delivered through the mdm channel.  There are differences in both the delivery and troubleshooting.
