When uploading the Windows Autopilot hardware hash myself, is there a way to supply a value for the purchase order field? I have not checked recently, but I have never seen a way to do it. If not, consider this a request to make that capability available!

Hi Jay Michaud, thanks for the question! The 'PurchaseOrderId' value is typically generated by your CSP or OEM, who can obtain your authorization to register Windows Autopilot devices on your behalf: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/autopilot/registration-auth.
If you're looking at leveraging custom fields, the 'OrderId' group tag might be something of interest. Learn more in our docs here: https://learn.microsoft.com/autopilot/add-devices#ensure-that-the-csv-file-meets-requirements & https://learn.microsoft.com/autopilot/enrollment-autopilot#create-an-autopilot-device-group-using-intune . Hope this helps!

Hi Max_Stein,
Thank you for the response, but you answered a question I didn't ask. I am well aware that the PurchaseOrderId field is populated by vendors. I am specifically asking about whether there is a way that I, as the customer, can populate that field when uploading the hardware hash myself, long after the device was acquired without Windows Autopilot as part of the purchase. The documentation you linked does not mention the PurchaseOrderId field.

The 'PurchaseOrderId' field is vendor-populated, and unable to be manually set by customers at this time. We appreciate the feedback! We've got this captured with the team today, but please also share this with us over at: aka.ms/IntuneFeedback , so other customers can comment and vote as well. Thanks!
