Will Intune Suite ever be a part of the M365 license set, such as E5?
euburrag
Microsoft
Apr 11, 2023Microsoft has been adding value into the Microsoft 365 E5 license for years. As customers have asked us to extend our products, such as Intune, into more adjacent categories, it's become necessary to package the value from the Intune Suite separately.
- -_RH_-Apr 11, 2023Iron ContributorI think the customers here are asking to extend the products within the existing licensing. 🙂 Or, perhaps consider E6 or something. However, I think the customer concern is eventually the $10/user/month add-on (seemingly always $10 regardless of the relative value or market price, which is frustrating as a customer) will evolve into yet another $10/user/month add-on for the next evolution of Intune functionality.
- Stephen_DevlinApr 11, 2023Brass ContributorMeaning they need a more efficiant revenue stream than E5 currently offers, So make a new SKU like E6, make it actually accessable for sectors such as Education. The current billing method with additional 'add-ons' it's do able for the Education sector in the UK due to how funding works, Which is a real shame because we've invested so much time and effort into the Microsoft products but now are unable to use anything new, It's like being stuck with Windows Server 2012R2 for the rest of our time.
- Darren_BaberApr 12, 2023Copper ContributorI agree with Stephen, this is a very useful suite for Education, but the pricing does make it difficult to justify in schools. A new SKU would make sense, with ideally the "student use benefit" bonus that we see for education customers.
