What's the best way to force an immediate sync from the client side? Making changes to Intune is always slow to effect changes on a specific machine. When I have a user on the line, I prefer immediate results.
From my experience, you can go to settings, accounts, work or school account, choose the domain/info selection. Once in there, scroll to the bottom and then there is a "sync" button there. This will force the machine to go out and contact InTune for the sync of any new settings. This can also be performed from within the InTune suite, when on the specific machine, there is a "sync now" toolbar button but this can take a little time to actually perform the action.
